Ensuring Employee Safety by Verifying the Indoor Air Quality
Employees working for a tribal agency grew concerned about the air quality of three administrative buildings on their government campus.
LTE knows that employees are the lifeblood of any organization. Making sure each employee feels safe while at work is essential to a thriving workforce. Because the air quality concerns stemmed from employees – we started there. After reviewing questionnaires offered to each employee, our team of industrial health technicians conducted a thorough inspection of each administrative building, conducted interviews, and evaluated each building layout. Phase two of the project included collecting real-time IAQ data to help identify potential pollutant sources, observing airflow patterns, and collecting preliminary measurements of IAQ parameters.
LTE evaluated survey and sampling results using the USEPA IBEAM tool and did not identify any worker exposure issues. LTE offered recommendations for building maintenance and worker placement to alleviate employee concerns and resolve the matter for the client. Our approach respected employee concerns and provided trusted information to management about site conditions.
